Meet Irène Farmachidi

How did you discover your passion for perfume? At what moment did you know you wanted to make it your career?

From the moment I started wearing it. The day I realized there was a perfumer behind every bottle, it became obvious.

What drives you the most in creation?

Finding new accords.

What are your sources of inspiration and your favorite raw materials?

Inspiration can come from a pleasant scent encountered in my daily life, but most often, it comes from mentally associating different combinations of scents.
I have a broad spectrum of scents that I appreciate.

Often, it depends on the seasons: when it is hot, I prefer citrus fruits; in winter, ambery, woody, or musky notes.

How do you know when a perfume is complete?

When it corresponds exactly to the idea I had of it before formulating it, when the olfactory notes unfold harmoniously over time, and when it diffuses well.

What appealed to you in the brand's approach?

The creator of the brand, with whom I share a common olfactory sensitivity.

What particular challenge did you take on while working on Florentina and Osiris?

Florentina is above all a musk. However, musks, as delicious as they may be, tend to reduce the diffusion while providing lasting power.
The challenge was therefore to make Florentina a true diffusion bomb.

For Osiris, it was about working around a honeyed and floral note, not waxy, nor sweet or gourmand, but delicious, elegant, and sun-drenched.

What emotion would you like people to feel when discovering Florentina and Osiris?

Pleasure in wearing them, and a true sense of well-being.

Do you have a striking olfactory memory from your childhood?

Not one in particular, but many! The perfumes worn by my family, the fire in the fireplace, the plants in my parents' large garden, and the scents of the forest where we walked every Sunday.

Finally, what are your passions outside of perfume?

Traveling, Greece in particular, music, and classical dance.
